Eagles Ethical Code

Eagles Delicadeza and Moral Code of Ethics

Every Eagle shall adhere to the Eagles Ethical Code now popularly known as the Eagles Delicadeza and Moral Code of Ethics.

Every Eagle shall make oath that he shall take no court action on any grievance against the Philippine Eagles, his Club or his fellow members but shall be obliged to take a leave of absence from his Club or from the Philippine Eagles in case of irreconcilable conflict or difference with any of them. His leave of absence shall be construed as the ultimate redress of his grievance.

Why do we need an Ethical Code?

We need some ethical code or delicadeza because we know there are others looking at us. The cornerstone of the Eagles Delicadeza and Moral Code of Ethics is the Eagle's conscience.

"Conscience is nothing but other people inside you". (Luigi Pirandillo, Each in his own way)

"There is only one way to achieve happiness in this terrestrial hall, and that is to have either a clear conscience or non at all" (Olden Nash, I'm a Stranger here Myself)

"Conscience is, in most men, an anticipation of the opinion of others" (Sir Henry Taylor, The Statesman)

"Ethics is the maintaining of life at the highest point of life at the highest point of development-my own life, and other life-by devoting myself to it in help and love, and both these things are connected. And this ethics, profound, universal, has the significance of a religion, it is religion."(Alexander Schweiter)

"Conduct is three-fourths of our life and its largest concern" (Matthew Arnold: Literature and Drama)
